Willie Samuel James

Willie Samuel James was born in Danville, Virginia but later relocated to Boston. There he met his wife Lois and to their union, God blessed them with five children, Tara, Mark, Keisha, Kristopher and Shekinah. Later they were blessed with another son, Tim.

In 1971, at Way of the Cross Church, Willie committed his life to the Lord and never looked back. With a desire to serve God he was drawn to everyone, especially youth and elders.

In 1980, after serving as Deacon, Superintendent of Sunday School and Minister Willie accepted the calling to Pastor a church, later named Bibleway Christian Center. From its inception Bibleway’s mission was and continues to be preaching and teaching the Word of Truth and winning souls to the Kingdom.

Pastor James has served as the Senior Teacher, at the prestigious Bethel Bible Institute for 26 years, and now serves as the Dean of Students. He has taught the New Testament to over 200 students and continues to passionately teach the Word of God.

During the last forty years, Pastor James has established the following:

– Hoop Dream Basketball League for youth ages 5-15 years

– Brown Bag Ministry – Feeding the Homeless
Higginbottom Jones College Program – program that works to introduce and assist in placement of youth in historically black colleges

– Community Giving – Thanksgiving Baskets and Christmas toys for children

– Prison Ministry – Biblical teaching for prisoners

– Premarital Counseling

– Most importantly, Intensive Bible Teaching of the Old Testament, The book of Daniel, Revelation, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Proverbs and others

– Spiritual Warfare
– Four steps to Salvation
– Beginning the New Life
– How the Family began
– The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit

He is a planter of ministries, which include the following

– Bibleway Christian Center, Brockton, MA – Under the Leadership of Pastor Kristopher James
– Bible way Christian Center, Connecticut – Under the Leadership of Pastor George Eleazer
– Bible way Christian Center, South Carolina – Under the Leadership of Pastor Mark James

Additionally, he is affiliated and Board Member of Stillwater Worship Center, under the Leadership of Pastors Grady and Michelle Higginbottom and Life Change Ministry under the Leadership of Pastor Carl Jefferson and wife Tamika.

Pastor James continues his journey with the Lord along with his wife Lois, of 54 years, as God continues to lead them to new and challenging endeavors.
