Our ministry strives to win souls to the kingdom of God and make changes to our community through music, youth programs, marriage/family seminars and most importantly the word of God! Our heartbeat as a ministry has been and continues to be “Reach One, Win One, Teach One”.

In its 40 years of existence

The heartbeat of Bibleway continues to be soul winning.

From its inception in August 1980, Bibleway Christian Center’s purpose has always been to reach hearts and win souls to the Kingdom of God through sharing God’s word to the helpless, homeless, weak and broken hearted. Founded by Senior Pastor Willie James and his wife Elder Lois James, his parents Brother Eugene and Mother Florence Jones, Mother Carrie Townsend, and Elder Lorene Turner – the goal for this group of elders and young leaders was to embark on a spiritual journey to change the City of Boston backed by the Spirit of God.

Leaning on teachings he received In New York City focused on Isaiah 53, Pastor James learned about the importance of street outreach. It was because of this training that Pastor James decided to make street outreach one of the cornerstones of the ministry along with Bible study and youth outreach and development. Over the years the ministry has moved all over Boston leaving their mark in Orchard Park, Franklin Field, Dorchester, Hyde Park and Roxbury areas – providing both spiritual and physical assistance to the communities including Clothes and Food giveaways, weekly street services and Sunday Morning, basketball and football leagues, college preparation and tours, marriage and family support and a host of other services. Wherever Bibleway set its roots, the community was changed.

Our Mission Is

To Open the Way to God

It was not just what was being done on the outside – change was also happening on the inside. Within the ministry, Bibleway has grown into a six fold ministry including – Youth, Music/Media, Education, Evangelism, Fellowships, and Helps which allow members to collaborate and create an atmosphere that not only falls on our love for God but following in steps of Jesus’ teachings on how we should help our fellow man. Bibleway has also established a Ministerial School in which individuals who are called can be trained in both ministerial and servanthood.

Praise & Worship

The work of the ministry has extended to Brockton, Connecticut, and South Carolina as Pastor James has become an overseer and trainer of new young pastors looking to carry on the work of God in these communities.

Reach One, Teach One

Bibleway Christian Center’s mission will always be “Reach One, Teach One” with the hopes that every person that they encounter will not only accept Jesus Christ but will share His word with someone else in an effort to build the Kingdom of God.

Teach All Nations

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and, lo I am with you always even until the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:18-20)
